Coding of the permanent installation “This is not an Umbrella” for the Montreal Biosphere. Visitors discover the influence of weather on everything surrounding us and the science behind weather forecast.
The project is divided in two distinct parts. First, there is the coding of 3 interactive touchscreens, showcasing information in a classic but elegant layout, with an attention to design as well as subtle and well executed animations.
The second part of the mandate was undoubtedly the most exciting one: we created a large touch-sensitive table that visitors use to control solar radiation and greenhouse gases, altering the planet’s climate. Four people can use the table at once. Powered by a projection from-top, the table is made of 4 touch foils, which enable an excellent response time and a good exactitude.
The coding is based on web technologies that have been pushed to their limits, once more, in order to offer an unforgettable experience to visitors.
