Accessibility

A website or an installation that is accessible to all.

Whether your project takes shape on the web or in a physical location, we have developed solid expertise to make the experience accessible to as many people as possible.

When it comes to museums, we have in-depth knowledge of standards in the United States (American with Disabilities Act, or ADA), as in Canada, with federally-managed institutions.

As such, we are the ideal team to support you in any major project that requires making installations accessible to people living with a disability.

We have also developed this expertise for projects that take shape on the web by implementing, in some of our projects, the WCAG standard established by The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This standard makes websites accessible to people with disabilities. It dictates certain adjustments that must be made to websites to make them accessible to a greater number of visitors.

This may involve, for example, respecting certain legibility standards such as font size or colour contrast. It may also involve allowing animations to be paused. When aiming for an accessible website, it is also important to ensure that the website is accessible via keyboard and screen reader.

In such projects, implementation of best practices to respect these standards is essential throughout the project, from graphic design to web development.

If you need to implement a management tool that is accessible to all of your employees, whether or not they are living with a disability, accessibility standards are essential.

We can implement CMS and other sophisticated and flexible management tools while respecting high standards of accessibility. As a result, they may be used by all of your employees and collaborators, including those living with a disability, such as:

  • Visual impairment (colour blindness, loss of sight, etc.)
  • Physical impairment (requiring navigation with devices other than a mouse)
  • Epilepsy
  • Etc.
