For the exhibition Ça chauffe! Cool it presented at the Armand-Frappier Museum in Laval, we have developed two interactives on climate change and the actions we can take to improve our health and that of the planet.
The first interactive is informative in nature and allows us to understand the impact of the actions we take on global warming. At the start, an animation reveals a planet and information on GHGs and increasing temperatures. In the second part, the user is asked to select various human activities and their action will release GHGs and additional scientific information will be shown on the screen.
The second interactive, more fun, allows visitors to select a co-benefit: sustainable food, connection with nature and active transportation. Depending on the activity chosen, the user can advance through a world and take actions beneficial to the health of the planet and their own health. For example, the further the cyclist advances using the pedal activated with the user's fingers on the touch screen, the less dense the traffic. As we progress, the space becomes more beautiful and cyclists and pedestrians appear. As the journey progresses, information is provided to him and demonstrates the benefits of active transportation both for him and for his environment. Similar but distinct interactions are offered in the other two worlds, allowing a different experience while maintaining a similar interactive framework.
