This is a program of six interactive screens, highlighting important themes surrounding the Empress of Ireland tragedy, when the ship wrecked itself close to Pointe-au-Père, in 1914. Addressing themes like “Life aboard the ship” or “Recovering the letters”, interactive screens incorporate themselves to the visitor’s experience to complement it.
This project is part of the new permanent installation, at the Pointe-au-Père maritime museum (Rimouski), produced by Laurent-Michel Tremblay.
It is a project simply realized with much efficiency: content is put forward, the experience is streamlined and comprehensible. Browsing is intuitive and allows the content to assume its rightful place.
Use of web-based technologies: HTML5, Javascript and NWJS.
