Pointe-à-Callière - Généalogie

Linked to a database made of almost half a million entries, this interactive installation grants visitors of Pointe-à-Callière access to genealogical data recorded in Montreal. 

When entering a last name, visitors can access detailed records about the first person listed with this specific name in Montreal, statistics concerning it and files about people bearing the same name who lived in Montreal. 

A partnership was established with different genealogical services in order to showcase this important database.  

Two information points are made available for the museum’s visitors. It is a quick, straightforward and above all meaningful experience.
